Australian Parents Save Twin Boys Floating Face Down in Pool
A couple in Australia were shocked to find both their 2 year old twin boys face down in their swimming pool. They had been left alone for only 2 minutes but managed to get into the fenced-off pool enclosure and to get into the water.
On discovering the boys' lifeless bodies, the parents got to work on a boy each rendering first aid that the mother had been trained for. It was 5 minutes concerted effort before the boys began to cough up water. They have now made a full recovery.
This report reinforces the need for prompt administration of first aid by the people who discover patients in distress. Had they waited for the ambulance to arrive, it would probably have been too late. Children of such young years require special first aid treatment.
