Company Profile

ASTS was established in the 1980s to provide HSE approved and certificated first aid and security training in the South of England. It has since expanded its portfolio to include workplace first aid, casualty handling, specific hazard training including automatic external defibrillator (AED) training, fire and evacuation training, basic fire awareness, fire marshalling and employer/employee risk awareness and assessment training, all to national legislative standards. ASTS has recently added Mental Health Awareness and Equality, Diversity and Ethnicity courses, both of which are increasingly vital in the workplace today.

ASTS now delivers training to local, national, multi-national, and international companies, such as The Historic Dockyard Chatham, The Copper Rivet Distillery, JD Wetherspoon, Marconi, Bass Leisure, AMF Bowling, Mazda Europe, McDonalds, BMI Health Services and since becoming a Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 & 1801 registered Company, Government departments such as the Lord Chancellors Department and the Cabinet Office.

Training Locations

Training locations range from our base in Kent, South East of England, London and nationwide. The ethos of ASTS is to provide nationally recognised quality training with an ‘upfront’ pricing policy – no callbacks, using only the highest calibre trainers available, namely training personnel from various emergency services throughout the country. This always ensures a professional approach to the attendees. It also guarantees that only the most up to date legislation and training techniques are used in its delivery.

Our Ethos

ASTS is aware of the importance of effective initial safety training and the need for regular refresher training. To this end, ASTS has designed and developed its courses to meet the most stringent safety standards and promises that at no time will it's standards ever fall below these.

Continual Professional Development

All our training staff are required to undertake an element of CPD on a yearly basis. Engaging in Continuing Professional Development ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete, in turn this means that the training we deliver is of the highest standard.

In 2019 we were proud to announce that we now have full Matrix accreditation.
