Advanced Safety Training Services is recognised by Edexcel & HABC as a Centre for the SIA Nationally Accredited Door Supervisor License BTEC qualification
An HABC Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course, and is valid for three years. It is required for anyone wanting apply for their SIA license to be able to work in the security industry
These courses are delivered by specialist Security lecturers who are accustomed to working with a wide range of trainee abilities. All lecturers who deliver these courses have to undergo training in the delivery of this course and hold a nationally recognised trainer qualification. The aim of the courses is to qualify students to gain an SIA security license.
This course is for anyone requiring an SIA license to work in the security industry; all delegates must produce ID from the attached list, plus one passport-size photograph.
Core Learning for Common Security Industry Knowledge (10 hours of which 5 hours must be contact time)
Door Supervisor Specialist Module (10 hours of which all must be contact time)
Conflict Management Module (8 hours of which 7 ½ hours must be contact time)
Physical Intervention Skills Module (10 hours of which 7 ½ hours must be contact time)
Forms of identification fall into two groups - group A and group B and the SIA will only accept one of the following 2 combinations:

All documents from group A and group B must be originals and in your current name unless accompanied by a deed poll document that confirms a change of name, or a valid adoption certificate. At least one document must show the applicant's current address and at least one must show the applicant's date of birth
This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor. It is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards setting body for the security industry and the SIA, which regulates the private security industry.
To complete this qualification learners are expected to undertake approximately 45-hours of learning. The SIA stipulates a minimum of 32.5 contact hours (4-days) if flexible distance learning is undertaken.
